    Cruise control

What can cause the cruise control to shut off seemingly for no reason? If I stop and turn off the bike, restart it, it comes back on. It might work fine for the rest of the ride, or it may just shut off after a while. ( 2008 1800P ) 17,000 miles. Thanks for ya'lls help.

The on/off switch (button). When it is working and you tap the button does it kill the cruise?

Dirty switch that enables cruise control.

Worn clutch/brake lever bushings will allow them to play and release the micro-switches that disable cruise. hold them forward and see if it stops behaving badly. Pretty good sign is if you can wobble your clutch lever tip up and down more than maybe 1/8", certainly 3/8" vertical play in the tip is a sign of wear. Easy fix, about 20 for the tool and two bushings through our sponsors.
